The bar style brooch is ornamented to the centre with an 15ct yellow gold and 15ct white gold set design modelled in the form of a cockerel's head.
The cockerels head is embellished with seven pave set Dutch cut diamonds.
A single collet set cabochon cut ruby represents the bird's eye.
The wattle and comb of the cockerel are crafted in 15ct yellow gold and embellished with a red enamel decoration.
The brooch secures with a safety pin style fastening.
This antique Victorian bird brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 15ct gold.
