This large brooch has been modelled in the form of a peacock on a branch with its tail-feathers rested.
The 18ct yellow gold tail-feathers, body and head of the peacock have been ornamented with chased decoration to replicate the feathered texture of a bird.
The neck of the peacock is embellished with seven impressive round faceted four-claw set sapphires and eight impressive modern brilliant round cut four-claw set diamonds.
The peacock's crest features individually claw-set strands of four modern brilliant round cut diamonds flanked with five round faceted sapphires.
The eye of the peacock is represented by an impressive 0.28ct marquise cut ruby.
The bird brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening.
