This stunning, fine and impressive Victorian brooch has been crafted in 22 ct yellow gold with a silver setting.
The brooch has been modelled in the form of a snake, twisted and entwined around itself.
The head of the snake is ornamented with a feature 22 ct yellow gold collet set cushion cut ruby.
A further five graduated 22 ct yellow gold pavé set round cut rubies graduate the back of the snake's head.
A total of sixteen pavé set Dutch cut diamonds embellish the silver set snakes head.
Two smaller collet set round cut rubies represent the snake's eyes.
The writhing body of the snake is plain and unembellished.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a 9 ct yellow gold hinged pin and safety clasp.
This brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 22 ct gold and silver set, with a 9 ct gold pin.
