This impressive antique pearl brooch has been crafted in 15ct yellow gold in the form of a hornet.
Two of the hornet's wings are ornamented with elongated dutch cut diamonds.
The head and thorax are also ornamented with old dutch cut diamonds.
The head of this fine brooch is also embellished with two cabochon cut garnet eyes.
Completing the hornet is a baroque pearl abdomen, two realistically decorated wings and six realistically modelled legs.
This piece of antique jewellery secures to the reverse with a hallmarked hinged pin and hook fastening.
The 15ct fineness mark (15k) is struck to the reverse of the hinged pin and hook fastening.
The antique pearl brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report card.
