This stunning, fine and impressive antique sapphire and diamond ring has been crafted in platinum.
The pierced decorated marquise shaped mount is ornamented with three collet set cushion cut blue Basaltic sapphires displayed in a vertical formation to the centre of the design.
The linear feature gemstone arrangement is encompassed with scalloped border comprised of sixteen collet set diamonds, in a combination of Old European round cut and eight cuts.
The setting is further ornamented with a collet set eight cut diamond to the incurve of the central formation, completing the design .
The subtly flared pierced decorated ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain hallmarked ring shank.
This stunning 1920's antique diamond cluster ring is hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the marks for platinum (10% IRID PLATINUM*).
This fine dress ring is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card**.
NOTE * Any platinum alloy has to state the alloy metal first eg iridium 10% - platinum 90% in this instance.
** The Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) lab has verbally (report number 81279-45) accredited the sapphire originating in Basaltic deposits and verifies that the central stone shows indications of heating and the two further gemstones shows no indications of heating.
