The crown of this 18ct gold thimble is embellished with a continuous pitted design above impressive alternating panels of scrolling leaf decoration.

The eagle hallmark on lower portion of the thimble represents 18 carat gold fineness hallmark(18ct); the piece does not feature an assay or maker's mark, therefore the date can be determined by the composition and decoration.

This antique gold thimble is fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box with satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.
