This stunning, fine and impressive antique opal and diamond necklace has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold with an 18ct white gold setting and chain.
The 18ct white gold set linear drop displays a feature collet set 2.19ct oval cabochon cut opal to the lower border.
The linear drop suspends from a collet set Old European round cut diamond.
The Old European round cut diamond is flanked on either side by a slightly smaller eight-cut diamond, also collet set.
The antique pendant suspends from a later 18" 18ct white gold spiga chain, securing with a conventional spring loaded bolt ring fastening.
The later chain is hallmarked to the clasp with the maker's mark (cc), the common control mark, the 18ct gold fineness mark (750) and the Birmingham Assay Office hallmark (anchor).
The pendant has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18ct gold.
