This stunning, fine and impressive antique pendant has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold with a platinum setting.
The pendant features a stunning oval yellow gold frame embellished with a collet set 2.35ct cabochon cut opal.
The feature terminal incorporates a scalloped border to the lower portion ornamented with seven pavé set eight-cut diamonds, in addition to three diamonds framing the upper portion of the opal.
The terminal articulates from a graduating linear drop ornamented with seven further pavé set diamonds, in addition to a single collet set diamond to the nadir.
The upper portion feature three individually collet set Old European round cut diamonds in a linear formation, completing the design.
The opal pendant suspends from a 17" platinum chain via two ring loops to opposing sides of the linear diamond setting, and secures with a conventional spring-loaded bolt ring fastening.
This 1920s opal drop pendant with diamonds has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18ct gold and platinum.
