This stunning, fine and impressive Victorian opal bangle has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold.
The anterior face of the bangle is ornamented with five graduated pavé set oval cabochon cut opals, totalling 3.92cts.
The opals are framed by a total of forty-two Old European round cut diamonds, in a combination of claw and pavé settings.
The posterior portion of this hinged bangle is plain and unembellished, securing with an integrated push fit clasp and benefiting from the additional security of a fine link safety chain.
The antique bangle is hallmarked to the interior with the maker's mark (HG&S), the gold guarantee mark (crown), the Chester Assay Office mark (city arms), the 18ct gold mark (18) and the date letter for 1895 (M); these hallmarks are a rare and fine feature, indicating the high quality of the piece.
This antique Victorian opal bangle is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report card.
The bangle is fitted to a hinged leatherette and red satin lined presentation case, securing with a hinged clasp.
