This fine and impressive antique amethyst cluster ring has been crafted in 14ct yellow gold with a silver setting.
The pierced decorated, cluster design is ornamented with a central feature eight claw set 4.52ct oval faceted cut amethyst.
The amethyst is encompassed with an organic border embellished with twelve silver set Old European round cut diamonds, totalling 0.98ct.
The flared trifurcating ring shoulders integrate with the main setting, melding with the channelled shank.
The ring is hallmarked to the outer surface of the shank with the French gold import mark (owl); this mark is used for finished articles brought into France to be examined by the French assay office.
This 19th century amethyst ring has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 14ct gold and silver.
