This fine and impressive agate brooch has been crafted in 20 ct yellow gold.
The brooch has a domed circular form, ornamented with a cabochon cut banded black agate collet set to the centre of a central concave design.
The agate is ornamented with an applied 20 ct yellow gold six pointed stellate design, accented with a seed pearl to the centre.
Each of the star shaped settings six points are set with a single Dutch cut diamond.
The outer domed setting is ornamented with a further eight smaller cabochon cut banded black agates, collet set within an applied undulated rope twist design.
The brooch is ornamented with an applied rope twist decoration the the inner and outer borders.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and push fit clasp.
The reverse of the brooch is inset with a push fit panel, allowing for a personal memento to be stored within.
This antique Victorian mourning brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 20 ct gold.
The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
