This fine and impressive antique Austro-Hungarian sapphire and diamond ring has been crafted in 14ct yellow gold.
The marquise shaped, pierced decorated setting is ornamented with an impressive feature 0.85ct oval faceted cut Basaltic sapphire, eight-claw set to the centre of the design.
The feature stone is encompassed with twelve impressive pavé set Dutch cut diamonds.
The tapering ring shoulders are each accented with three further pavé set Dutch cut diamonds and blend seamlessly with the hallmarked ring shank.
The antique dress ring is hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the domestic gold mark for Austro-Hungary (A (Wien/Vienna), fox head, 4 (4th standard))* and has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 14 carat gold.
This impressive yellow gold, sapphire and diamond dress ring is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card**.
NOTE:
* This style of hallmark was used between 1938-1984, this in addition to the composition of the ring, determines the piece to be crafted circa 1900.
** The Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) lab has verbally accredited the sapphires originating in Basaltic deposits and verifies that the gemstone shows no indications of heating.
