The antique brooch as a whole secures with a hinged pin fastening to the reverse of the removable frame; when separated the brooches secure with a double pronged hinged clip fastening.
This impressive aquamarine and diamond double clip brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 carat gold and platinum.
This stunning antique brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report card.
Such double clip brooches set with aquamarines are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
NOTE: The duette (or double clip) style brooch increased in popularity in the first half of the twentieth century; they flourished during the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements due to the use of symmetry of organic designs. Due to their versatility, they can be simply worn as an eye-catching single brooch, whereas the two matching brooches could be utilised as collar clips, hat clips, shoes clips, and hair clips.
