This antique brooch has been modelled in the form of a winged insect.
The abdomen of the insect is ornamented with a large claw set 3.10ct cabochon cut moonstone.
The wings are each embellished with nine pavé set Dutch cut diamonds, varying in size dependant on location, and incorporating four round faceted rubies to the terminals.
The thorax of the winged insect is ornamented with an impressive natural pearl, encircled by eight further diamonds.
The upper portions of the insect's legs are ornamented with a total of thirteen pavé set diamonds, accented with yellow gold terminals replicating the anatomical limbs.
The head of the insect is embellished with four pavé set diamonds, with two yellow gold collet set round faceted cut emeralds, representing the eyes.
The antique gemstone brooch secures to the reverse with a conventional hinged pin and clasp fastening.
