These exceptional and rare antique George IV English sterling silver tradesman/sample spoons* have been crafted in the Fiddle pattern.
The anterior surface of each spoon handle terminal incorporates the contemporary engraved initial 'MAG'.
The reverse of each 19th century spoon has a rounded heel and to a pip to the handle terminal.
By virtue of their size these versatile silver spoons could be used for a multitude of functions, including: pickle, mustard/condiment, small coffee spoon.
These exceptional and collectable spoons were crafted by the renowned London silversmith William Eaton.
NOTE: * Such a spoon would have been carried by a tradesman as a sample size, demonstrating at a small scale the pattern and quality of spoon available for production by the workshop.
