This fine and impressive antique George V sterling silver salt has been realistically modelled in the form of a pig.
This impressive antique novelty silver salt has been embellished with embossed details reproducing the fine definition of the pig's anatomical features and attire.
The pig figure is further ornamented with an opposing facial expression to each side, in addition to phrases from the 'This Little Pig' nursery rhyme: 'This little pig had roast beef' and 'This little pig had NONE'.
This sterling silver piece retains the original plain circular push fit cover/hat which features a pierced 'salt' hole.
The plain circular base bears the retailer's mark 'RD571999'.
