Austrian Silver Table Snuff Box - Antique 1807

This exceptional antique Austrian silver table snuff box has a plain oval form.

The sides of the body are embellished with a band of bright cut engraved stylised swag decoration accented with floral and leaf motifs, in addition to an undulating border.

The decoration to one side of this antique snuff box incorporates the contemporary bright cut engraved initials 'MT'.

The fine and impressive hinged hallmarked cover is embellished with unusual tooled decorated elliptical ornamentation accented with concentric ring designs.

The underside of the box bears the identical decoration to the upper surface.

This impressive Austrian box retains the original gilded interior.
