This exceptional antique Chinese silver cocktail set consists of a cocktail shaker, six tots and a matching stand.
The cocktail shaker and tots each have a tapering cylindrical form.
The surface of the silver cocktail shaker and each tot is embellished with an impressive and finely embossed and chased undulating, iconic Chinese dragon design, incorporating a vacant circular cartouche to one side.
The cobbler shaker retains the original plain domed push fit cover and stopper.
The detachable push fit silver stopper allows access to the integrated pierced decorated straining grille; this grill is incorporated to the upper portion of the aforementioned removeable cover.
The impressive circular stand is encircled with an engraved undulating dragon design to the surface, in addition to the exterior surface of the gallery border.
The gallery border is further ornamented with a plain applied moulded border to the upper and lower portions.
The stand is supported by three bun style feet.
The hallmarks struck to the underside of this Chinese silver cocktail shaker with tots and stand include:
Retailer's mark: 勝和 (Shing Wo, Hong Kong)
Artisan workshop mark: 尚 (Shang, Canton & Honk Kong)
Such complete cocktail services are becoming increasingly difficult to locate and rare to the market; this service is a desirable combination and style.
