These exceptional antique European silver candlesticks have a circular rounded form to a hexagonal shaped base.

The waisted cylindrical capitals of these antique silver candlesticks are encircled with alternating vertical pale designs, in addition to bands of tooled decoration to the fixed sconces.

The capitals are supported by tapering baluster shaped columns embellished with a band of engraved floral motifs to the upper portion.

The plain waisted knop to the lower portion of each column is encircled with an applied bead decorated border.

The inverted bell shaped foot of each candlestick is embellished with simplified engraved leaf designs, emanating from the aforementioned knop.

Each candle holder does not have a weighted base and bears the contemporary engraved inscription 'V.S.P, d. 15. April 1880'.

The collet style rim of each panelled base bears the engraved initials 'TW' and 'H', in addition to the hallmarks.
