The head of the goose is embellished with a black and white enamel decoration.
The underwings of the 9ct yellow gold brooch are crafted in 9ct white gold and the anterior surface of each wing features 9ct rose gold.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening.
The reverse of the brooch is hallmarked with the 9ct gold fineness mark (.375), the Birmingham assay office mark (anchor), the date letter for 1978 (D) and the maker's mark A&W.
