This fine and impressive antique brooch has been crafted in 15 ct yellow gold.
The brooch has a domed circular form, ornamented with a 4.2mm pearl collet set to the central plateaued design.
The pearl is encompassed with black and white enamel ornamentation in an intertwining sixteen-pointed floral design.
This central plateau is encircled with applied rope twist decoration and a plain concave yellow gold border.
The outer domed setting is ornamented with a black enamel panel featuring an interlacing chain design, all within an applied rope twist decorated border.
The antique enamel brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp.
The reverse of the brooch is inset with a push fit panel, which allows a personal memento or keepsake to be displayed; the original woven hair may easily be removed and replaced if desired.
This antique gold enamel mourning brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 15 ct gold.
