[email protected]Goerge Fox, born 1816, was the son of the renowned silversmith Charles Fox, and entered a join mark with his brother Charles Thomas Fox, operating from 139 Old Street. This location was listed until 1852, when they moved to 13 Queen Street (renamed 13 Bateman Street in 1885) in Soho. Upon Charles Thomas’ retirement at the end of 1860, George Fox became the sold partner in the firm, where he continued the established company. In 1891, the company moved to Berwick Street, Soho and were registered as manufacturing silversmiths, as well as platers and gilders for others within the trade.
