This exceptional antique George III Irish sterling silver flatware service has been crafted in the Old English pattern.
The anterior surface of each spoon and ladle terminal is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a wolf's head erased.
The reverse of these sterling silver spoons are plain and unembellished with rounded heels.
This antique flatware set consists of 10 pieces:
- 8 Table spoons
- Gravy spoon
- Soup ladle
The sterling silver table spoons are large, as to be expected for 18th century Irish examples; these versatile spoons could be utilised as serving spoons.
The reverse of each piece bears the Irish hallmarks, in addition to the retailer's mark for John Ash 'J. Ash'.
