A fine and impressive, unusual provincial made antique Georgian English sterling silver sauceboat made by Robert Pinkney; part of our Newcastle silverware collection

This unusual antique George III Newcastle sterling silver sauceboat has a plain oval boat shaped form onto a pedestal oval foot.


The surface of the body is plain and embellished with the contemporary engraved initials 'TW to IAM'.


The rim to the body and foot of this impressive sauceboat are encircled with a thread decorated borders.


The sauceboat is fitted with a thread decorated narrow loop handle.


This uncommon item was crafted by the rare and collectable Newcastle silversmith Robert Pinkney.

This antique sauceboat is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The hallmarks struck to the underside of the base are very clear.
