This fine and impressive multi-gem vintage brooch has been crafted in 18 ct yellow gold with 18 ct white gold collet settings.
The brooch has been modelled in the form of a bird with its wings elevated, perched upon a branch.
This vintage bird brooch with gemstones is embellished with a textured designs, replicating the details of the bird's feathers and anatomical features, in addition to the branch's bark.
The branch is further embellished with a trefoil shaped arrangement of four-claw settings incorporating a 0.02ct cabochon cut turquoise, a 0.02ct round faceted cut sapphire and a 0.02ct eight cut diamond.
The eyes of the bird are represented by two claw set round faceted cut rubies, totalling 0.04ct.
The brooch secures to the reverse with an 18 ct yellow gold hinged pin and push fit clasp.
This impressive vintage brooch is hallmarked to the reverse of the setting with the with the maker's mark (BRLD), the gold guarantee mark (crown), 18ct gold fineness mark (18), the London Assay Office hallmark (leopard's head) and the date letter for 1971 (q).
