These exceptional antique Russian silver egg cups have a circular rounded form to a swept pedestal foot.
The body of each egg cup is embellished with exceptional engraved scale decoration accented with a laurel festoon to either side.
The original screw fit silver gilt pedestal foot of each antique silver piece features a plain circular knop to the upper portion.
The two individual egg cups push fit together to conjoin and form an ovoid egg shape.
Each silver egg cup retains the original gilding to the interior and pedestals.
This variation of the Kokoshnik mark was used from 1896-1908, determining the date of this piece as circa 1900.
