The insect's four wings are embellished with fourteen seed pearls of various sizes.
The thorax of the insect is ornamented with a collet set round mixed cut natural blue sapphire, and the abdomen displays a larger seed pearl.
The head of this impressive insect brooch is further accented with two collet set old Dutch cut diamonds.
This 1900s bar brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening and benefits from the additional security of a fine link chain and safety clip.
This antique brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 15ct gold.
