This stunning, fine and impressive Victorian pendant has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold with a substantial 9ct rose gold belcher chain.
The oval shaped, pierced decorated frame has a leaved decoration to the centre, ornamented with a central 6.2mm seed pearl.
This antique pendant is embellished with a further forty-eight pavé set seed pearls, in various sizes.
The pendant suspends from a later (circa 1980) substantial belcher style 9ct rose gold chain, via a shaped trefoil design ring loop attachment to the upper border of the design, accented with a further seven pavé set seed pearls.
The chain is hallmarked to the clasp jump ring with the maker's mark (C.C), the convention hallmark, the 9ct gold fineness mark (975) and the Sheffield Assay Office hallmark (rose).
The ring loop attachment may be unhooked, allowing the pendant to be worn as a brooch via a hinged pin and catch to the reverse.
This antique Victorian pendant brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 ct gold.
