This stunning, fine and impressive vintage pearl and pink tourmaline brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold.
This substantial tourmaline and pearl vintage brooch has been modelled in the form of a single floral bouquet/nosegay.
The setting is ornamented with a feature stunning 15.64mm South Sea pearl.
The principal pearl is encompassed with a tiered arrangement of eighteen individually claw set pink tourmalines, in a combination of pear and marquise cut, replicating the flower's petals.
The scalloped bordered, swept lower portion of the brooch is further ornamented with one-hundred and sixty round faceted pink tourmalines, completing the wrapped bouquet design.
The 18ct yellow gold brooch secures to the reverse with a hallmarked hinged double pin and clasp.
The hallmarked brooch features the French patent/trade mark (Depose) to the setting of the hinged pin, in addition to the maker's mark to the pin (ALOPA).
This vintage pearl and tourmaline brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18ct yellow gold.
