The pieces of this exceptional antique and vintage sterling silver flatware set have been crafted in a variation of the early Trefid pattern.
The surface of each handle terminal is embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a cat's head.
Each spoon features an impressive classic rat tail ornamentation to the reverse of the bowl.
The original sterling silver forks have three tines/prongs.

The antique George V six place setting of the basic service were crafted by the London silversmiths Finnigans Ltd in 1917, whereas the remaining setting including the sauce ladles were made by Garrard & Co Ltd in 1968; each piece has the same gauge of silver and it can be determined the same die was used during production of the vintage service.
