An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Edwardian English sterling silver caviar/muffin dish; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection

This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver caviar serving dish has a circular rounded form.


The surfaces of the cover, plate and dish are plain and unembellished, with tooled and applied moulded decoration to the rims.


The impressive domed dish cover is surmounted with a circular sterling silver finial.


The cooling/heating dish is fitted with a pair of silver handles, accented with a ball motif to the centre of each handpiece.


The underside of the silver dish bears three impressive bun style feet.


Such pieces are commonly electroplated, solid sterling silver examples with the original liner are rare and becoming incresingly difficult to locate.

This antique silver caviar serving dish is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the dish and cover, in addition to the part hallmarks to the surface of the plate are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
