These exceptional vintage sterling silver chalices have been modelled in the form of 17th century chalices.
Each piece has a tapering cylindrical shaped form onto a circular knopped pedestal and domed circular foot.
The surface of each chalice is embellished with an impressive engraved shield shaped coat of arms of a stag lodged, flanked with the inscription 'Isaac Puller, Mayor'.
These vintage sterling silver chalices are further ornamented with interlacing engraved borders to the upper portions, in addition to the engraved inscriptions 'Ye Gift of ye Earl of Salisbury Chief Steward, 1647'.
The underside of each foot's rim bears the inscription 'Reproduction of the Hertford Elizabethan chalice made by Garrard, No 858'*.
Each piece features the retailer's mark 'Garrard & Co Ltd, Crown Jewellers, 112 Regent Street, London, W', in addition to the full British hallmarks to the underside of the foot.
* These replica chalices were crafted to commemorate the 1300th anniversary of the first ever national church assembly held in England.
