An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver goblet made by C F Hancock & Co in the Arts and Crafts style; an addition to our wine and drinks related silverware collection

This exceptional antique George V sterling silver goblet has a bell shaped form onto a knopped cylindrical pedestal to a circular domed foot.


The surface of this sterling silver goblet has a planished finish in the Arts and Crafts style.


The body of the vessel is encompassed with rounded oblong panels of embossed circular motifs.


The knop and foot of the antique goblet are encircled with incurved petal shaped designs, matching the style of the decoration to the body.


This impressive Arts and Crafts style goblet was made by the distinguished and collectable silversmiths C F Hancock & Co*.


* The founder of the company, Charles Frederick Hancock, opened his own facilities soon after receiving a Royal Warrant of Appointment from Queen Victoria. Hancock advertised his goods as 'successors of Storr & Mortimer' due to his previous partnership with renowned silversmiths Hunt & Roskell.
