An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver jardiniere / bowl made by A E Jones in the Arts and Crafts style; an addition to our range of collectable silverware

This fine antique George V sterling silver jardiniere has a circular rounded form.


The surface of the antique silver bowl has a subtly planished finish in the Arts and Crafts style.


The upper portion of this jardiniere/bowl is embellished with a band of embossed and chased iconic Arts and Crafts style stylised leaf and Tudor rose designs.


This impressive example of antique silverware is encompassed with an applied moulded border to the upper rim.


This antique jardiniere is supported by four plain tapering hexagonal panelled pillar style supports terminating with swept feet.


This iconic Arts and Crafts silver bowl was crafted by the renowned and collectable silversmith A E Jones.


* The Tudor rose, also known as the Union rose, is a traditional heraldic emblem pertaining to England. The conjoined design of the red rose (House of Lancaster) with the white rose (House of York) to the centre was created by Henry VII in the late 15th century as unification of the two houses after his marriage to Elizabeth of York.

This George V silver bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body have wear in keeping with age and location, but remain legible.
