This exceptional antique George II sterling silver half pint/ lady's mug has a plain baluster shaped form onto a circular spreading foot.


The surface of this antique silver mug is plain and embellished with the contemporary engraved finely bright cut engraved coat of arms displaying in chief three axes and three candles to the lower portion.


The upper and lower rims are encircled with tooled decorated borders.


This Georgian silver mug is fitted with an impressive opposing scrolling handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece.


This impressive Georgian silver mug was crafted by the renowned and collectable London silversmith Paul de Lamerie.


Such mugs are a desirable size and those made by Paul de Lamerie are scarce to the market; period mugs/tankards of this size would have been crafted for a lady.

This Paul de Lamerie silver mug is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the mug are very clear.
