This exceptional antique George II sterling silver strainer/mote spoon has an oval rounded shaped form with a narrow stem handle and pointed terminal.
The bowl is ornamented with pierced stylised scrolling leaf decoration in addition to a central quadrilateral arrangement of quatrefoil designs.
The posterior surface of the bowl is ornamented with a shell decorated heel and incorporates the contemporary engraved initials 'F I H'.
