Sterling Silver Owl Pepperettes - Vintage Elizabeth II

These exceptional vintage Elizabeth II cast sterling silver peppers are realistically modelled in the form of owls/owlets.

These owl shaped peppers has been embellished with chased decoration reproducing the details of the birds' plumage and anatomical features.

Each piece retains the original, hallmarked push fit cover/head ornamented to the upper portion with pierced 'pepper' holes.

The cover of these vintage owl shaped peppers are further ornamented with the original bead eyes.

These vintage owl pepperettes are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The chased decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each owl's tail and part hallmarks to the covers are all very clear; the maker's mark to one owl was not clearly struck and is illegible.
