These impressive antique Victorian silver peppers, in sterling standard, have a cylindrical shaped form realistically modelled in the form of champagne bottles.
The upper tapering portion of each pepper shaker is embellished with a band of frosted gilt ornamentation with a scalloped border to the lower edge, representing the metal foil envelope to the bottle.
The lower cylindrical portion and subtly concaved underside of each item is plain and unembellished.
Each novelty silver pepper is fitted with a gilded push fit cover modelled in the form of a foil capped champagne cork embellished with pierced 'pepper' holes subdivided by an integrated wire muselet/wirehood design.
