This magnificent antique Victorian sterling silver bowl has a circular rounded form onto a circular domed spreading foot.
The lower portion of the body is encircled with fine chased alternating fluted and leaf decoration, accented with convex oval motifs.
The upper portion of this Mappin and Webb bowl is encircled with a magnificent broad band of chased interlacing foliate ornamentation accented with rope twist decorated stems, all on a matte background and above an evolute scrolling border.
This large silver bowl is fitted with two exceptional cast and applied handles each with imposing leaf decorated sockets with a segmented knop to the centre of the handpiece.
The domed portion of the circular foot is encompassed with further chased ornamentation reflecting the design to the body.
