This fine antique Victorian sterling silver presentation cup has a plain circular bell shaped form supported by a tapering pedestal onto a circular spreading foot.
The body of the cup is embellished with a bright cut engraved spiralling vine/runner ornamentation accented with foliate and floral decoration.
The decoration to the body of the cup incorporates a lozenge shaped vacant cartouche to either side.
The rim is encircled with a bright cut engraved leaf decorated border accented with simplified floral motifs.
The knopped pedestal and foot are encompassed with applied bead decorated borders.
The foot is further encompassed with bright cut engraved decorated foliate and quatrefoil sprays.
This silver presentation cup is fitted to a circular painted wood plinth, encircled with a vacant silver inscription band; the band may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired.
This impressive cup was crafted by the renowned and collectable silversmith Charles Stuart Harris.
