The body of this silver biscuit box is embellished with impressive embossed convex fluted decoration to the lower portion.
The upper rim is encompassed with an applied band of applied palmette-style foliate decoration, above the contemporary engraved inscription 'Minne af C.H till E.L & C.L, 18 21/5 48' to the anterior surface.
This antique silver box retains the original hallmarked domed hinged cover, encompassed with further paralleling fluted decoration.
This impressive cover is surmounted with an embossed silver ribbed handpiece/finial, embellished with scrolling foliate designs and textures and accented with floral medallions to the terminals.
