This stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian pendant/brooch has been crafted in 15ct yellow gold with a silver setting.
The pendant has an oval-shaped form, ornamented to the anterior surface with a stunning oval hot enamel miniature portrait depicting a winged putti enveloped with turquoise coloured fabric beside a female figure draped in yellow and pink garments, holding a lyre to her opposing side.
The central yellow gold collet set portrait is bordered with fifty-three silver pavé set diamonds, in a combination of Dutch and mine cuts graduating in size dependent on location.
The pendant/brooch setting supports an articulating pearl, via an impressive scrolling leaf motif ornamented with ten further pavé set diamonds.
The apex of the portrait border is further embellished with a reflected scrolling motif bearing twenty diamonds, flanked with an alternating array of pearls and protruding diamond settings ornamented with eighteen diamonds.
The scrolling terminals of this splayed design supports an articulating pearl.
The reverse of the pendant is fitted with a push fit glass panel which allows a personal memento or keepsake to be displayed.
This Victorian enamel pendant brooch with pearls suspends from a contemporary 18ct yellow gold 18" chain via a detachable push fit bale to the upper border of the design; this tapering bale is ornamented with ten further pavé set diamonds, completing the design.
This stunning locket can also be worn as a brooch, securing to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening.
This Victorian portrait locket has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 15 carat gold and silver.
This impressive antique pendant is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card.
