The anterior portion of the necklace is ornamented with four tapering wirework decorated segments, each flanked with rope twist decorated borders.
The segments articulate and envelope a broad spiga-style yellow gold chain.
This substantial gold necklace secures to the reverse with a push fit clasp, and benefits from the added security of a hinged catch.
The tongue of the clasp is hallmarked with the French import gold mark (owl); this mark is used for finished articles brought into France to be examined by the French assay office).
