This stunning and unusual vintage brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold and 18ct white gold settings.
The brooch has been modelled in the form of a window with flowers, behind a wrought iron grille.
The anterior portion of the brooch is embellished with an impressive 18ct white gold pierced decorated frame, replicating the curvilinear scrolling ornamental grille of the window.
This finely crafted vintage brooch is embellished with five sapphires, ten rubies and six emeralds; each individually set mixed cut gemstone bears carved details replicating the organic details of the floral spray.
The gemstones array incorporates impressive individually claw set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds.
The spray is further embellished with two claw set round faceted cut yellow gemstones*, providing further visual dynamic to the piece and completing the design.
This floral brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged double pin and push fit clasp.
The reverse of the frame is hallmarked with the 18ct gold mark (750) and the maker's mark (Gubelin); this brooch is an exceptional example, as to be expected with items crafted by this renowned goldsmith.
This stunning multi-gemstone brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card.
Such unusual gemstone brooches are rare to the market.
NOTE: * Due to the nature of the caged grille design these yellow gemstones could not be identified or measured by a gemologist without disrupting the original gold frame; it has been determined with the testing available that these are citrines, with a strong probability.
