This stunning, fine and impressive garnet brooch/pendant has been crafted in 15ct yellow gold and silver set.
The brooch has been modelled in the form of a crown/coronet.
The band of the crown is embellished with five individually collet set oval faceted cut garnets.
The lower portion of the band, arch and cap of the crown are ornamented with twenty-five claw set mine cut diamonds, integrated with bands of bead decoration.
The upper portion is embellished with a further collet set oval faceted cut garnet, representing the ball of the crown, surmounted with a plain yellow gold cross.
This brooch secures to the reverse with a hallmarked 18ct yellow gold hinged pin and safety clasp fastening.
This versatile vintage garnet crown brooch may also be worn as a pendant, suspends from a contemporary 9ct yellow gold 18" curb chain via the incorporated loop to the reverse, securing to the reverse with a conventional spring-loaded bolt ring; a minor alteration would be required to allow the piece to sit securely as a pendant.
This impressive vintage crown brooch/pendant is hallmarked to the pin with the 18ct gold mark (18K) and has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 15ct gold and silver.
This stunning vintage brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card.
