The plain central cylindrical vessel is encompassed with two plain applied girdles and embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved ornamental initials 'SC' flanking a stylised cross design.
This wafer box retains the original screw fit domed cover, ornamented with an applied bead decorated border and surmounted with a ball style finial.
This silver box/pyx secures to a circular rounded plate/paten via a screw fit receiver to the centre of the sunken well; the receiver secures to the underside with the original hallmarked screw fitments.
The plateaued border of the paten is embellished with four equidistant circular floral rosettes accented with quatrefoil motifs.
The interior of the pyx retains the original gilding.
This vintage silver travelling communion set is fitted to the original, angular shaped hinged leatherette box with velvet and satin interior, securing with a suitcase buckle box lock.
