0.30ct Opal and Ruby, 15ct Yellow Gold Brooch - Art Nouveau - Antique Circa 1910

This fine and impressive antique opal brooch has been crafted in 15ct yellow gold.

The pierced decorated, heart shaped design is ornamented with a collet set pear cabochon cut 0.30ct opal.

The opal surmounts a round faceted cut 0.04 ct ruby, completing a bud design.

The floriated setting is further embellished with two reed leaf designs, conjoined with the heart frame

The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening.

This versatile Art Nouveau opal brooch may be converted and a ring loop attached to the reverse to enable the piece to also be worn as a pendant.

The brooch is hallmarked to the reverse with the mark for 15ct gold (15CT).
