This fine and impressive vintage brooch has been crafted in 9 ct yellow, white and rose gold.
The brooch has been crafted in the form of a cart and pail.
The cart is ornamented with two round cut citrines, two round cut amethysts, a round cut green tourmaline, a round cut pink tourmaline and a round cut ruby, individually four claw set to the centre of the design with a total gemstone carat weight of 0.85 ct.
The canopy of the cart consists of eight slats, crafted in alternating 9 ct white gold and 9 ct rose gold.
The cart has two pierced decorated cartwheels, and a 9 ct white gold pail suspends and articulates from the left side of the design.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and safety clasp.
The brooch is hallmarked to the reverse with the maker's mark for Alabaster & Wilson 'A & W', the 9 ct gold fineness mark (9.375), the Birmingham Assay Office hallmark (anchor) and the date letter for 1966 (R).
The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
