This unusual, impressive 1950s sapphire ring has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold.
The unusual cupped frame displays a feature old round cut natural blue sapphire claw set in relief to the centre of the arrangement.
Eight smaller square step cut natural blue sapphires are individually displayed within the segmented design around the feature sapphire.
The distinctive frame is plain and unembellished to the underside.
The subtly elevated ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain yellow gold ring shank hallmarked with the 18ct gold fineness mark (18ct).
