An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver Queen Anne style spirit kettle; an addition to our antique silver teaware collection

This exceptional antique George V sterling silver spirit kettle has a circular rounded form, in the Queen Anne style.


The body of this antique silver kettle is plain and unembellished, with an applied moulded border to the rim.


This antique silver spirit kettle is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover surmounted with a cast sterling silver knopped finial.


This fine example of antique silver teaware is fitted with an impressive incurved handle featuring the original carved stained oak wood handpiece to scrolling terminals.


The kettle bears an impressive cast swan necked spout, accented with a scrolling thumbpiece to the tip of the lip.


The kettle detaches from the original hallmarked cast sterling silver stand, supported by four impressive opposing scrolling legs, each terminating with a circular spreading foot.


The stand incorporates a plain rounded frame which retains the original detachable spirit burner, incorporating a patented snuffer.


The spirit kettle stand is fitted with the original chains and security pegs.


Such examples in this superior gauge are rare to the market; this spirit kettle is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.

This antique 20th century spirit kettle is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the kettle, in addition to the part hallmarks to the spirit burner, stand and interior of the kettle cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the superior gauge of silver.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique teaware.
